IL MIO CUORE VUOLE TORNARE A CASA
Dio, ti prego, fammi dire “No” al mio passato.
È stato felice e triste allo stesso tempo.
È ancora più cupo ora che non ne faccio più parte.
Sai quante notti insonni
piango ricordando la mia vita di allora?
Più ci penso, più la mia anima,
con dolore, implora di tornare indietro.
Insieme al mio cuore facciamo le valigie
e, con gioia, proviamo ad andare.
Un’altra voce dolce dentro di me
sussurra: “Non lasciare la tua casa”.
Non sono più capace di farlo.
Come posso dire “No” agli amori
Lei vuole tornare a casa. Io non riesco
a dirle “No”. Dio, ti prego, convincila tu per me.
MY HEART WANTS TO GO HOME
God, please make me say, “No” to my past.
It was happy and sad at the same
time. It is even gloomier
now that I am not a part of it.
Do you know how many sleepless nights
I cry remembering my life at that time?
The more I think about it, agonizingly, my soul
begs to go back.
Together with my heart, we pack up,
and cheerfully, we try to go.
Another soft voice of her
whispers, “Don’t leave home “.
I’m no longer able to do that.
How do I say” No” to loves and
belonging seats that this imperfect life has given me?
It is not fair to leave. I can’t do it.
Sometimes, love is not enough.
It just isn’t. I’m not the old little girl.
This new life has made me another person.
Now I am a different woman.
I see things differently,
but my heart has remained the same.
She wants to go home. I am not able to
say, “No”, to her. God, please convince her for me.
