NON ABBIAMO BISOGNO DI QUESTA GUERRA CRUDELE

Non abbiamo bisogno di questa guerra crudele – Che nessun bambino pianga più! Non vogliamo un mondo nel dolore, Che le città tornino a fiorire.

Se c’è gentilezza nella tua anima, La pace deve essere il nostro obiettivo comune. Con rispetto e cuori puri, Il calore umano durerà a lungo.

Che gli uccelli cantino tra gli alberi, Che i bambini giochino nella brezza gioiosa. Niente più battaglie, sangue o lacrime – Bandiamo la guerra per sempre.

Che il cielo non indossi più un cipiglio, Che sole e luna – non bombe – ci guardino dall’alto. Che possiamo dormire sotto le stelle, Liberi dalla paura, liberi dalle cicatrici.

Che l’alba sorga piena di pace, Che la sera porti sollievo alla mente. Che l’amore, puro come neve d’inverno, Rompa le catene dell’odio e del dolore.

Non abbiamo bisogno di questa guerra crudele, Che svanisca per sempre! La vita è una – una fiamma sacra, Pace e amore devono essere la nostra meta!

Let no child cry anymore!  

We don't want a world in pain,  

Let the cities bloom again.

 

If there's kindness in your soul,  

Peace must be our common goal.  

With respect and hearts so pure,  

Human warmth will long endure.

 

Let the birds sing in the trees,  

Children play in cheerful breeze.  

No more battles, blood, or tears -

Let us banish war for years.

 

Let the sky not wear a frown,  

Sun and moon — not bombs — look down.  

Let us sleep beneath the stars,  

Free from fear, and free from scars.

 

Let the dawn rise full of peace,  

Evenings bring our minds release.  

Let love, pure as winter snow,  

Break the chains of hate and woe.

 

We don’t need this cruel war,  

Let it vanish evermore!  

Life is one — a sacred flame,  

Peace and love must be our aim!

 

Let all nations stand as friends,  

Peace and hope — the path that mends!
